And thus concludes my few weeks with a camera.  And now back to taking mental pictures, like a true writer.

My dearest peace corp volunteer. Have copied your pic of Emmanual and the pic of you teaching in Tami to use for my toothbrushing presentation for my qualitative research class. Ok with you? I will be back in Nano after Jan 20th. Would you talk to Emmanual from Naki about you all talking to the Tami (important people) to see if they are interested in starting a Health Promoters group? You could start by teaching solar disinfection-if you haven't taught this already. We can get the health promoters from Naki and Tami to come to Nano (I shall get money to transport) for a fete and some public health teaching?

  2. Doc Stephanie! Hi!
Yea no problem, you can use my photos anytime =) I'm honored. And I will definitely talk to Emanuel right when I get back to village. I'm in Lome right now working on getting my Ghana Visa, but I head back up north tomorrow. I will talk to him and my major. My major (head nurse at the clinic) is super supportive of any project I want to do health-wise in Tami. I recently did that malaria project, and soon we will be doing a Savanes Bike Tour for FARN (maternal health and infant/youth nutrition/health). Who would you like to be the target gorup? Students, mothers, males? We have a group of adult volunteers that help with vaccinations/promotions, who go around village to village in our "Canton" to deliver the product or message to everyone. I plan to use them for the FARN training in February.
So glad to hear from you and can't wait to see you again in Togo!

  3. P.S. just for when I talk to my Major... Do you have an idea of what public health topics you would like to cover?
