It’s Togo Time!
A little about me…
Je m’appelle Kristina and I’m originally from Poughkeepsie, New York. I received my B.A. in Sociology from Arcadia University in 2010, and in that time I also had the chance to study abroad in Paris for a semester. I love traveling and learning about new places and cultures (hence the Sociology degree). I have had the pleasure of visiting some pretty awesome places such as London, Brussels, Florence, a few places in Holland (Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Den Haag), I also spent 2 weeks in Thailand (as a graduation present from my awesome Big Sis, Gretchen), and my newest destination is now Togo, Africa (with the Peace Corps).
I started applying for Peace Corps over 2 years ago (while still a Senior in College at Arcadia).
After about a year of application process and medical clearance (including getting my wisdom teeth out), my application was put on hold because apparently I lost my competitiveness [by only working at Olive Garden as a waitress while waiting to leave].
I moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, and had a period of change in my life and then decided to reopen my application before it expired this past January.
After more essays (and fun paperwork), a yellow fever shot, and some more dental work, I was back on track...
